ISSA PAUL’S STRUGGLE
Meet Issa Paul. A native of Kogi state who had been battling with an eye defect since 2020, living in darkness, with struggling finances and unemployment as a result of no vision. Despite his unwavering determination, the journey had been arduous, with financial struggles and unemployment weighing him down. Issa Paul had been to several hospitals hoping to find one with a surgery he could afford, but all efforts proved futile as such surgeries required large amounts of money.
Issa Paul was left with no choice than to live with his eye condition, he couldn’t go to work, moving around was difficult without help. He lived with uncertainty not sure he will ever see again. Friends and family offered words of encouragement and advice, but it wasn't until he had the opportunity to be a beneficiary of the Loveworld Medicaid's VISION 10,000 initiative, that his life began to take a dramatic turn. I can walk again without aid or support. I can go back to work and be able to support my family once again.”
